Girls and women cherish to have beautiful long nails. Clean, properly shaped nails look very attractive at the same time it shows that you are healthy. Nails play a very important role in our daily life. Starting from cleaning to cooking they are with us and If your nails are dirty then that dirt will go inside our stomach with food and make us sick.

Pale whitish nails show deficiency of iron and blood in body.
White patches over nails is a signal of stomach problem or constipation.

Try to keep your nails trimmed all the time. Long nails give more space for dirt to accumulate. Even if you like long nails then keep it upto a limited height. And clean them every day.
Always file your nails after cutting them as the sharp edges might hurt you, others and may break nails by getting entangled with your dress or any cloth.
After cutting nails dip your hands in lukewarm water and then brush the edges so that the dead skin around the nails are removed.
Diet is very important for getting good nails. Try taking calcium and vitamin b complex, include dairy product like milk and curd daily.
Never nibble your nails with teeth, which is quite common with kids. The broken nails may go to stomach and spread infection and stomach pain.
Try to avoid nail paint as far as possible. Nail paint have harmful chemicals and everytime you eat with your fingers it may get inside your stomach.
Wash your hands after cooking food as we touch lot of thing during the process and our hands will smell.
Always wash your hands properly before having food. We keep on touching one or the other thing and thus we will have dust particles and bacteria in our hand although the hands may look clean so it is important to wash hand.
Use spoon while eating and serving food as the food particles may get inside your nails. In India we use turmeric powder in curries and the colour has lasting impression so while eating use spoon otherwise it can make your nails look yellowish.
Never lick your fingers while eating.
Before going to bed give your nails a castor oil message. It will make them stronger.
