Healthy teeth is gateway of healthy body. This consciousness is very recent. People are usually very neutral when it comes to taking care of teeth. Strong teeth help in chewing the food properly. Food which is chewed properly is easily digested and it also helps the body to get total nutrition. People and specially children have a tendency to swallow their food which is not properly digested and come out of our body through excretion and thus the body does not get sufficient nutrition
Many people still do not pay much attention to dental problems. For them brushing the teeth once or twice in a day is sufficient to keep them clean and healthy. Being a dentist many people come to me and say that they brush their teeth everyday and why they have got teeth problems? It means that just brushing teeth is not sufficient. It is important to take care of of teeth and follow some suggestions –
Brush your teeth properly every morning and in the night before going to bed. Brushing should be done in slow circular motion than brushing in up down rigorous motion.
Rinse your mouth after having food. Most of the time some food particles get stuck between our teeth and they become breeding ground for germs.
People usually do not think about what they are eating. Food which is too hot or cold have an effect on teeth and it is worse if we have a cold food after having a hot beverage and vicevera. It is very common to see people having hot gulabjamun with cold icecream or hot chocolates with cold ice cream. It make the teeth very sensitive,
Sometimes people eat something very hard which weakens the gums. A good example would be chewing sugarcanes.
Message your gums with finger everyday after brushing for 2 mintues.
Avoid chewing bettleleaf and tobacco.
Try to avoid extraction of tooth even if they have developed cavities. Instead one can opt for filling as extracting one tooth weaken the gums and has effect on other tooth also.
There are some home remedies to deal with dental problems –
If you have loose teeth problem then message your teeth with mustard oil and salt once a day. brushing with molseri bark once a day also helps.
Take nagarmotha, harhar, vayviding, soth ( dry ginger), black pepper,papal bark and dry neem leaves. Grind them all together and then mix neem oil and make small tablets. Having these tablets daily for a month removes all teeth problems.
If you have bleeding gums then grind majuphal and apply it on gums until bleeding stops completely.
Rubbing fitkiri also make teeth stronger.
Take 20 grams dry coriander powder, 10 grams dry rose petals, 10 grams sandalwood dust and 3 grams camphor. Finely grind them all together and use this as a paste for brushing teeth.
