The moment we ask anybody about how they keep themselves clean they may laugh because it is something which is taken for granted, but have not seen anybody with big brittle nails which tells what they had in breakfast or lunch? Or you have never seen a lady with lice taking their ride on her hair? We must all have met people with bad breath or hairy underarms. This is so because many people even hey know how to clean themselves do not do so. Cleaning is important for being healthy. Few important aspects of cleaning are –
Cleaning nails – it is important to cut your finger and toe nails after every 10-12 days.if you want to keep long nails then clean them with brush everyday as they accumulate dirt and this goes inside our body everytime we eat anything with hands.
Cleaning tongue – cleaning tongue is very important. Whatever we eat, the small particles get accumulated on the surface of the tongue. If it is not cleaned it goes inside our food. Use a tongue cleaner after brushing teeth. Encourage children to develop this habit.
Cleaning teeth and throat – Brush your teeth twice daily. Once in the morning and then after dinner at night. It is also recommended to clean your mouth after having any food as the food particles get accumulated in between our teeth and lead to teeth problem. To clean throat gargling with mildly salted lukewarm water is best. Do this every morning and night.
Cleaning ears – most of us do not pay much heed when it comes to cleaning ear. We clean them only when we feel pain or irritation. Cleaning your ear with earbuds once in 15 days is required. One can apply vaseline or oil on the tip of the bud for better result. Even the back of ears should be cleaned with a soft wet cloth.
Cleaning hair – Wash your hair at least twice in a week. If you have oily hair then you can wash thrice in a week. Wash your hair frequently if you are exposed to dust and pollution. Apply conditioner after washing as it maintain the natural shine and do not let your hair dry. You can use a mix of aamla, ritha and shikakai powder once in 15 days after applying henna.
Apart from this oil message is also important as it promotes good blood circulation.
Cleaning eyes – early in the morning after getting up from bed wash your face and eyes with water. Similarly after returning home from outside wash your face and eyes. It will not only make you feel fresh but will remove dirt from your eyes.
Putting rose water in eyes will relax it but use pure rose water only.
Cleaning nose – clean your nose while taking bath. You can also use mustard oil for cleaning the inside surface. Doing pranayama also help in cleaning nostrils.
Cleaning underarms – many of us neglect underarm and as a result we see most of the people have comparatively black underarms then their normal skin color. Underarm is sensitive are and should be cleaned gently. Underarms should be shaved, and a daily routine of scrubbing and applying moisturizer can be helpful. It is also important to clean out that underarms that have sweat glands, which if not cleaned can be embarrassing for us.
Cleaning the body – cleaning body should involve using a mild or medicated soap and scrubbing. One can use lukewarm water for better result. Always apply oil or any uptan before bathing , it help in removing dirt from the skin.
