Right balancing is important for a healthy life.
Today everyone is running after material success. It is important but not at the stake of health. The aim of life should be to lead a happy & fulfilling life, but today we are running after money,wishing that through money we can buy a good life style. Money is important but not at stake of health. It is important to keep a balance in our daily life. We may have started skipping morning walk, exercise & breakfast instead we are watching television or rushing for work. I have see people, who even do not give enough time to themselves to relieve. This in the long term causes constipation & other problems.
We need to bring a balance in our daily life. It is important to go for morning walk and exercises. It helps to keep us fit and moreover it brings that extra energy that can keep you going for the rest of the day. Similarly, breakfast is important. It is the first meal after 7-8 hours of fasting. We should have a healthy and wholesome breakfast.
Balancing in our food habit is also very necessary. By balancing we mean a food that is complete in carbohydrates, fat, protein, fibre, vitamins and minerals and the calorie intake should be as per our body mass measurement(BMI) and the kind of work we do.
For carbohydrates we eat cereals, rice & flour. Lentil, fish, eggs, chicken, soybean and milk products have protein. Vegetables and fruits are rich in fibre , vitamins and minerals. So our daily meal should include a mix of all these. Today we often either eat only carbohydrates and fat in the form of packaged or ready to eat food like pasta, bread or cakes. Fruits have been replaced by packaged juices, which claim to be made from real fruits, but where is the fibre? Moreover, they have preservatives and added sugar which increase the calorie and the sugar content.
Mental balance is equally important. There should be right balance in our thinking. Thinking guides our action. Right thinking leads to right action, and we shall live a peaceful life. Wrong thinking draws enemies, frustration and depression in life. This depression brings many disease like sleeplessness, tension, heart problems and high blood pressure. It is important to meditate, spend some time with family and friends, be social and enjoy life.
